Duluth-area voters who would rather not wait for Election Day have until Friday, Oct. 30, to cast a ballot in person early. Gwinnett County's advance voting period for the Nov. 3 General Election and Special Election opened Tuesday, Oct. 13, with sites open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to the county elections department.
One of the sites on the county's list is the Shorty Howell Park Activity Building at 2750 Pleasant Hill Road, which carries a Duluth address.
Any site works
Registered voters are not tied to one location during advance voting. The county says voters can use any advance in-person site during the posted days and hours, so someone who works elsewhere in Gwinnett can vote near the office instead of near home.
Other locations the county lists include Pinckneyville Park Community Recreation Center at 4650 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Berkeley Lake, Lucky Shoals Park Community Recreation Center at 4651 Britt Road in Norcross, George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center at 55 Buford Highway in Suwanee, and the county's Voter Registrations and Elections office in the Beauty P. Baldwin Building at 455 Grayson Highway, Suite 200, in Lawrenceville.
Before you go
The county's advance voting page shows wait times alongside locations and hours, so checking it before leaving can help you choose a site.
The same page lists official drop box locations and marks which advance voting sites have drop box access. Voters planning to return a mail ballot should confirm the specific location on the county's list first.
